1. Check User Type, Modify User Account Type as Administrator.

Point of Sale International EMS Tariff Revision Patch

The tariff fixed vide Department letter No. 43-1/08-DA dated 3.1.2011 for International EMS has been revised. The new tariff will be effective from 1.5.2013. Though the provision for configuring the tariff is available in Point of sale, inorder to ease the work of configuration and to incorporate some changes in the structure of countries the utility is being provided.

Run the InternationalEMSTariffRevision_2013.exe in the machine where Point Of Sale Server component is installed. Enter the path of PointOfSale Server component and the SQL server name and click on Update to update the new International EMS tariff rates.

Point of Sale/Despatch Shift end Error???

While day ending the Point of Sale or Despatch  some time it shows an error "A floating point exception occured in user process" and while existing  and it shows that shift end is over in Despatch/Point of sale . But  the Project arrow information were not created and the Account MIS shows the Day end was not done in point of sale.While checking the error with CEPT Mysore and Googling   the results shows the this problem is solved when the Sql Server 2000 is upgraded to Latest Service pack (service pack 4)

Various policy decisions have been taken to ensure that vacancies reserved for SCs and STs are filled up by SC and ST candidates and to ensure their better representation in all grades. For example:-

(i)         SC and ST candidates appointed on merit are adjusted against unreserved vacancies and reservation is given in addition.

(ii)        In order to ensure that posts reserved for SCs and STs are filled by SC and ST candidates only, a ban has been imposed on de-reservation of reserved vacancies in direct recruitment.

(iii)       Special Recruitment Drives are launched from time to time for filling up the backlog reserved vacancies etc.

This was stated by Minister of State in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions and PMO, Shri V. Narayanasamy in written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha today.

COUNTER MDB FILE CORRUPTED-SOLUTION

 Error: While Logging point of sale if you  got a error "Counter access database seems to be corrupted, please logout from all terminals so the application can recover required information"

Solution:  Open Point of sale server folder..take a backup of COUNTER.MDB AND SafeCounter.mdb to a safe place.

Delete Counter.mdb from point of sale folder, Rename SafeCounter.mdb to COUNTER.MDB

           Paste Safecounter.mdb from that folder where we have took a backup.
