The file 'NL_20120930.exe' should be copied to DBAnalyzer folder and executed after completion of day's transactions. This will update the negative list upto 30/09/2012 in Sanchay Post. (Corrections received upto 30/09/2012) In addition to Negative List, updations relating to PINCODE details are also done in the database. Hence, execution of this patch will take longer than the usual updation time.
System Administrators should ensure that the server is not switched off till successful execution of the patch.
To confirm updation, use 'DBAnalyzer >> Database Discrepancies >> NSC >> Details of negative list updation' option.

Sir/Madam,
I am directed to invite a kind reference to the letter of even number dated 8-10-2012 wherein a detailed schedule was prescribed for holding of LDCE for Postmen/Mail guard and MTS
2. Subsequently, the nodal branch staff section vide letter no. no. 45-2/2011-SPB.1 dated 18-10-2012 issued detailed instructions to the circles for filling the vacancies by holding separate examinations for each year vacancies and given specific schedule and to complete the process by 30th June 2013.
3. In view of this revised position, the schedule given by DE section has no more operative and the instructions dated 8-10-2012 is withdrawn with immediate effect. The circles are requested to follow the guidelines issued by SPB.1 section letter no. 45-2/2011-SPB.1 dated 18-10-2012 scrupulously.
4. This issues with the approval of Competent Authority.

Dear Sir/Madam,
1. The Central Board of Secondary Education gets the Textbooks for
the students community printed every year. These books are sold at
Counter of the CBSE in every Regional Office. It has been observed that
sometimes difficulty is faced by the students to get the textbooks in
time.
2. It is, therefore, proposed to obtain the anticipated requirements
of various schools. This would assist the Board to finalize printing
plan and ensure books are available at Regional Office/Schools by 10th
Jan, 2013.
3. The schools are to log on to Board’s website http:/cbse.nic.in at
link ‘Online Ordering of CBSE Publication for Academic Session
2013-14 (for CBSE affiliated schools)". The details of books and
quantities required may be uploaded. Current price list are indicative
and actual prices may differ marginally. The schools shall deposit the
50% of the cost as guarantee money. The payments are to be made online
through bank challan, which shall be guided on logging (facility for
online payment through debit/credit card and Net Banking will be
available shortly). 15% hulk rebate on actual printed price shall be
given to schools to meet administrative expenses in the final bills.

Cabinet withdraws controversial draft amendments to RTI
NEW DELHI: The Union Cabinet today decided to withdraw controversial draft amendments to the Right to Information Act that had sought to restrict disclosure of file notings only to social and developmental issues.
After this, all file notings can be made public except those explicitly exempted, such as the ones related to national security, privacy and protection of commercial interest.
"The Cabinet has decided to withdraw the amendments," said a source privy to the deliberations at the Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
In 2006, the Cabinet had approved the amendments but they did not make it to the Parliament because of the stiff opposition.

The List of Prescribed Proofs of Identity has been Expanded to Cover
more Variety of Photo Identity Cards for the Convenience of the
Passengers
In a major initiative to further facilitate the travel of bonafide and
legitimate passengers and to reduce the scope for misuse of reserved
ticketing system by unscrupulous elements/middlemen, the Ministry of
Railways has decided to extend the condition of carrying original proof
of identity during travel on reserved tickets issued through Passenger
Reservation System (PRS) for all reserved classes including ‘Reserved
Second Class (2S)’, ‘Sleeper Class (SL)’, ‘III Economy Class (3E)’ and
‘First Class (FC)’. This change in policy will come into effect from
1st December 2012.
Further, the Ministry of Railways has also decided to expand the list of
prescribed proofs of identity to include photo identity cards having
serial numbers issued by public sector undertakings of State/Central
Government, District Administrations, Municipal Administrations and
Panchayat Administrations.
The expanded list of the prescribed proofs of identity for undertaking
journey on Tatkal ticket and other reserved classes will now be as
follows:
1. Voter Photo identity card issued by Election Commission of India.2. Passport.3. PAN Card issued by Income Tax Department.4. Driving Licence issued by RTO.5. Photo identity card having serial number issued by Central/State Government which include the following:(i) Pension Pay Order s(PPO)(ii) Ration Card with photographs(iii) Senior Citizen cards(iv) Below Poverty Line (BPL) cards(v) ESI cards (with photograph) issued for taking treatment in ESI dispensaries.(vi) CGHS Cards (with photograph) issued to individual family members of Central Govt. employees.6. Student Identity Card with photograph issued by recognized School/College for their students.7. Nationalized Bank Passbook with photographs.8. Credit Cards issued by Banks with laminated photograph.9. Unique Identification Card “Aadhaar”.10. Photo identity cards having serial number issued by Public Sector Undertakings of State/Central Government, District Administrations, Municipal bodies and Panchayat Administrations.
In this way, the new provision to be effective from 1st December, 2012 will be as follows :-
“Any one of the passengers booked on a PNR for undertaking journey in any reserved class has
to produce any one of the above mentioned prescribed proofs of identity
in original during the journey failing which all the passengers booked
on that ticket will be treated as travelling without ticket and charged
accordingly. The existing provision of the Tatkal scheme where the
passenger is required to show the same original proof of identity as
indicated on the ticket shall continue.”
It may be mentioned that presently only the following categories of
passengers travelling in reserved classes have to produce original proof
of identity during the journey:-
- Passengers travelling on e-tickets.
- Passengers travelling on Tatkal tickets.
- Passengers undertaking journey in AC classes on the tickets issued through the computerized Passenger Reservation System (PRS) {except in III Economy -3E class}.
With the new provision, the condition of carrying one of the prescribed identity cards has now been extended additionally to other classes of travel namely - Reserved Second Class(2S), Sleeper Class(SL), III Economy Class(3E) and First Class(FC).
The above change in the policy is aimed at facilitating the travel of
bonafide and genuine passengers and simultaneously to check the scope
for travel on transferred tickets. It is also considered that the
proposed change shall also be useful from the security point of view.
