ZIP IT YOUR DAILY ACCOUNT FOLDER FOR SENDING TO HO

This tool will compress the Daily Account folder to zipped file to enable emailing to HO.
Sounds funny?
As the zipped file created by right clicking the folder will put the DA folder in to another folder and result in extra work at HO. But the extracted folder from the zipped file created using this tool will be a single folder.

How to use?
Extract the downloaded file and place it in C:\ drive and place a shortcut to it on Desktop. On first execution it will ask for config. Based on the config,it will zip the DA folder. Gmail will automatically launch to ease the work of emailing.

This tool is extracted from Glink 3.0 created by me.

ISRO successfully sends Mars orbiter into sun-centric orbit

India’s spacecraft to Mars has bid adieu to its Earth-bound orbit and is cruising in its sun-centric orbit. In a remarkably successful execution of a complex manoeuvre, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) fired the propulsion system on board the spacecraft for a prolonged duration of 23 minutes from 0049 hours on Sunday.

In space parlance, the manoeuvre is called Trans-Mars Injection (TMI). ISRO called it “the mother of all slingshots.” Celebrations broke out at the control centre of the ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC) at Bangalore from where the spacecraft specialists gave commands for the orbiter’s 440 Newton engine to begin firing.

ISRO Chairman K. Radhakrishnan told The Hindu from ISTRAC, “Everything went of well. We took stock of the spacecraft’s health and everything is normal. We just had a meeting with all the ground controllers and mission directors who briefed us on the spacecraft’s systems and all are working well.”

M. Annadurai, Programme Director, Indian Remotesensing Satellites and Small Satellites, ISRO, said “everything was normal during the firing, which went on as per the planned timeline.” He added that there was jubilation in the ISTRAC control room with scientists distributing sweets.

“We had exciting moments and a satisfying day,” said S. Arunan, Project Director, Mars Orbiter. “The sun-centric phase has started and the Canberra station has started acquiring the spacecraft for tracking it.” Deviprasad Karnik, ISRO spokesman, said the spacecrafts propulsion system produced a textbook performance.

Commissioning of WAN by M/S Sify under IT Modernization Project

Composition of 7th Pay Commission

Some Blogs have said that Shri. Raminder Singh Gujral ,IAS, the Finance Secretary , might be appointed as Member secretary of 7th Pay Commission. But the fact is he is retiring from the service on 30th November 2013. New Finance Secretary will be appointed after the approval of the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet. But the issue here is not regarding who will be the next Finance secretary. The issue is ‘can the retiring official be appointed as Member secretary to the 7th Pay Commission? . It is needed to mention that the previous pay commissions did not have retired bureaucrats as its Member secretary. The serving bureaucrats only appointed as Member Sectary of all the Pay commissions except the First Pay Commission.

The first pay Commission did not have a Member secretary. Its secretary was Shri. K.R.P.Aiyangar
The Member Secretaries of later Pay commissions were…
