Relesed of Revised MNOP Script ( dtd 28/12/2011)

It is decided to keep both POS and SpeedNet MNOP Updation Script at a single point download. This script has to be used at all the offices using POS and SpeedNet.

Based on the latest Sorting Extract / Orders received from the Directorate and IC Hub Data received from Circles, the Revised MNOP Script is released and the details of the releases are as follows.

This script will contain the entire Hub Master data as per the requirement /modifications - including all the previous revisions. This document shows only the latest revisions. 

Steps to Update:

·         Take Full Backup of POSPCC DB

·         Execute the EXL file through ScriptTool.exe.

·         Login to Speednet and check View-> Hub Details option .

Note:

SpeedNet: Script is compulsorily to be updated in concerened Hub or IC Hub as well as in all offices using SpeedNet whose Pin Code is covered under  Pin Range Modification /  Hub – Addition/Deletion.

At other SpeedNet offices the script may be executed so that the Hub Details option in the SpeedNet Module, will show the latest MNOP Pin Range for all hubs.

MSDTC ERROR DURING SUBMIT OF ACCOUNT IN POS IN SQL2008

First login to the system with Administration previleges and do the following

To allow the network transaction, you must enable MSDTC. To do this, follow these steps:

a. Click Start, and then click Run.

b. In the Run dialog box, type dcomcnfg.exe, and then click OK.

c. In the Component Services window, expand Component Services, expand Computers, and then expand My Computer.

d. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.

e. In the My Computer Properties dialog box, click Security Configuration on the MSDTC tab.

f. In the Security Configuration dialog box, click to select the Network DTC Access check box.

g. To allow the distributed transaction to run on this computer from a remote computer, click to select the Allow Inbound check box.

h. To allow the distributed transaction to run on a remote computer from this computer, click to select the Allow Outbound check box.

i. Under the Transaction Manager Communication group, click to select the No Authentication Required option.

j. In the Security Configuration dialog box, click OK.

k. In the My Computer Properties dialog box, click OK.

Note:

After following the above steps configure the servernames in treasury and Point of Sale.

If the problem is not solved configure the servernames using ip address of sql server..

1. Run Query Analyzer
    Select POST database and Exceute the following command

    Select sid from sysusers where name = 'DCL'

Copy this value

2. Execute these commands one by one
   
    sp_configure 'allow updates', 1    Highlight the query Press Ctrl E
   
    reconfigure with override     Press Ctrl E

3.    Select Master databse and excute the following statements:

    Update sysxlogins set sid = <Paste previous copied value  eg. 0xB7165F12378.........>
    where name = 'DCL'

4. Execute these commands one by one
