7% D.A. Hike from January’ 2012 Order issued
Can it manage the price hike?
New Delhi, April 3, 2012(PIB): The Union Cabinet on March 23, 2012 gave its approval to release an additional installment of Dearness Allowance (DA) to central government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) to pensioners w.e.f. 1.1.2012 representing an increase of 7% over the existing rate of 58% to 65% of the Basic Pay/Pension, to compensate for price rise.
The said order has been issued vide F.No. 1(1)/2012-E-II(B) dated April 3, 2012 by Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance.
