Now, get 'prasad' of Vishwanath temple through post

ALLAHABAD: With the start of holy month of Shrawan on Wednesday, the Indian Postal Service department too has come up with an auspicious announcement for the Shiva devotees. The department has entered into an agreement with the Kashi Vishwanath temple of Varanasi and Mahakaleshwar temple of Ujjain whereby it will deliver the 'prasad' from these two temples to the devotees via post.
Director postal services, Allahabad region, Krishna Kumar Yadav said, "Following an agreement between the Indian Postal Services and the Kashi Vishwanath temple trust, the Prasad of Kashi Vishwanath temple can be provided to any devotee through post. The individual will have to send a money order of Rs 60 in the name of Postal Superintendent, Varanasi (East) and in return the postal department would send a packet containing 'bhabhuti' (ashes), Rudraksh, a laminated photo of Lord Shiva and Shiv Chalisa to the sender, courtesy, the authorities of the temple's trust".
Yadav said devotees can also get 'prasad' of Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga temple of Ujjain. For getting the Prasad, an individual will have to send a money order of Rs 151 in the name of Manager Shri Mahakaleshwar temple management committee, Ujjain. The temple authorities, in return, would send the prasad through post. The prasad would comprise 200 grams of dry fruits, 200 grams of ladoo, 'bhabhuti' and the photo of Mahakaleshwar.
"The Prasad would be send in a water proof envelope so that it does not get damaged or spoil during its transportation, from the temple to the hands of devotees", said Yadav.
