Railways Propose to Cancel Some Trains during Fog Period
The Ministry of Railways has approved the following full/partial
cancellation/diversion of trains during fog. There will be no booking
for these trains during likely fog period from 1st January 2013, which
ever is earlier, to 17th February 2013. Hover, the Ministry of Railways
has directed Zonal Railways to keep a close watch on the field situation
and in case there is no fog, booking for the trains, which are proposed
to be cancelled, will be started with a three day notice with a
condition that the train may be cancelled in case there is fog.
The cancellation etc. of trains is being announced in advance so that travellers can plan their alternative journeys accordingly and are put to minimum inconvenience.
